Sacred World Music
Desert Rose composes original Sacred World Music from many cultures and ancient languages. Sacred World Music covers a vast genre of music. Below we have selected 10 albums from the full CD Catalog that fit into this genre of music for you to download.
The music includes ancient/ indigenous instruments considered to be sacred in past times. An example of this is the Uhadi from Africa, an instrument traditionally played by women to accompany songs when they sang indigenous music of their ancestors.
Another instrument is the rain stick, the sound mimics the energy of rain and it was used together with dance and trance to manifest rain. The reed flute or the Ney is also a powerful ancient instrument that symbolizes the separation from God. The haunting sounds of the Ney creates the feeling of longing to be reunited with God.
Sacred World Music intertwines these ancient sounds/ indigenous instruments with ancient languages. The ancient languages also carry an energy of sacredness and power.
The indigenous music element is powered through ancient chants from different traditions and supported with classical and epic orchestration. Desert Rose uses mantras in different ways, sometimes to create a feeling of introversion. The Sacred Sounds are sung in a soft and gentle expressive way to assist the listener to journey inward. This is the journey from Sound to Silence.
Sacred World Music uses the science of sound to still the mind or direct the mind and suspend the thoughts through the power and repetition of mantra. Sacred World Music is healing. It allows the listener to make an emotional connection to the Divine and to open the heart to all cultures and religions. It is an experience of God.
