Being with One by Desert Rose was written to enhance the experience of Raj Yoga, open eye meditation. During meditation, one surrenders to the elevated qualities of the soul, and the music of Being with One is composed to enhance and illicit those elevated qualities. The practice of Raj Yoga taught by the Brahma Kumaris is strongly linked to the awareness of one’s identity as a soul. With enough time, patience and effort, an experience of soul consciousness can be had. The Brahma Kumaris Spiritual World University offers lessons free of charge in the transformative practice of Raj yoga meditation. The idea of Being with One refers to being in the company of the Divine, God, or the Sadh Guru, Shiva. In the presence of Divine Grace, and inner silence, we experience inner peace, joy and love which has been expressed through the Ancient Sanskrit prayer Om Shanti Path. One can also hear the Sufi prayer of peace interwoven beautifully with the Sanskrit giving the listener a universal feeling of connection to all of Gods creation in a harmonious way. Sadh Guru, Shiva or God represents the ultimate light for all those seeking awakening, That light also exists in the soul and when we raise our awareness beyond the body and the outer world, we begin to have a direct experience of that spark of light. Om Shanti Path as an Ancient prayer carries that lineage of gratitude and awareness for the gift of the life and the planet we live on, the prayer says ” May the water be cool and may the herbs be healing, may there be peace in the heavens, peace on earth, but most of all, may that peace reside in me” Love is our mother is another track on the album that is inspired by a Rumi poem translated into Arabic. Love is another gift of Divine grace when being with “One” or the Sadh Guru. It is so beautifully expressed in the work of Rumi, The poem says, we are birthed by love above all else, it is our mother. The album is meditative with only 4 tracks on the album, all long enough to immerse oneself in inner bliss and silence.
